Child's Play Charity

In June 2011, the Far Lands or Bust series shifted focus from a standard Minecraft Let's Play series to a walk-a-thon fundraiser for the gaming community organization Child's Play Charity. The first fundraiser goal was a modest $820, derived from the estimated 820-hours it is calculated to take a Minecraft player to reach the Far Lands from the center of a world. Fans reached this goal in less-than a week, and over the course of six years and five seasons raised an additional $400,000 to help get toys, books, and games to kids in hospitals around the world.
